The Power of 2 Words - Thank you
THANK YOU
These 2 little words are very powerful and yet so often forgotten. We have so many things to be
thankful for. In today’s fast-paced world of emails, texts, voicemail … too many people have forgotten to
say a proper Thank you when someone has assisted them. Taking the time to write an email (or even
write a note and mail it) and thank someone for a meeting they took the time to have with you, an
interview, for listening to your problem, helped you fix something and so many other reasons.
I spend hours interviewing candidates for career opportunities for my clients. It still amazes me that
after I have taken 30 – 60 minutes talking to someone about their life, career, and goals that they
never take the time to email a thank you afterward. Companies want to hire people with manners and
that are thoughtful; a simple thank you email or letter can demonstrate that you care and are really
interested in the job.
If you want to go further in this busy work world – think about saying Thank you a bit more often to the
people that have helped you along the way!
Thank you for taking the time to read my Blog.
